About

The Bokšto skveras complex had been shaped for hundreds of years in several landholdings where the masonry buildings were already mentioned in historical sources in the 16th century. While undergoing continuous change, the structure of the complex and its buildings with open and closed inner courtyards adjusted well to the natural terrain patterns to make a harmonious blend with both the upper and lower part of the Old Town of Vilnius, situated on the bank of the Vilnia river.

When restoring Bokšto skveras, we wanted to preserve the objects which had been shaped naturally through several ages, to return the most valuable objects to the city and to adapt the historic areas to the needs of modern people.

Preserved authenticity and adjusted innovative architectural, engineering and design solutions allow Bokšto skveras to be called the most advanced Baroque-style complex of buildings in the Old Town of Vilnius.

Archaeological research, which took seven years, is one of the largest and most comprehensive research projects ever carried out in Vilnius Old Town: the other project which has undergone such a comprehensive research is the area of the Lower Castle of Vilnius. Scientifically priceless cultural layers, which date back to the second half of the 13th century and up to the 20th century, were discovered during the archaeological research.

All of the most valuable discovered pieces were handed over to the National Museum of Lithuania, and some of them are currently displayed at the Bastion of the Vilnius Defensive Wall.

On one side, the Bokšto skveras complex of offices is surrounded by the Vilnia river, and on the other, the most famous cultural and historical objects of Vilnius Old Town, which are only minutes away on foot. We have built a spacious 90-space underground parking lot for the convenience of office tenants and guests coming to the complex by car, therefore parking in the very Old Town will not be a problem.

Less is more – we followed this approach while shaping the business space of Bokšto skveras. In order to create an aesthetic environment which fits with efficient work, we preserved the characteristic Baroque architecture while adjusting modern and high-quality systems for facility heating, ventilation and lighting to it.
